Nominations for ACOI Leadership Positions Announced

The ACOI Nominating Committee has announced the slate of candidates for election at the Annual Meeting of Members scheduled for November 2 as part of the ACOI 2024 Annual Convention & Scientific Sessions. The Committee has nominated Damon L. Baker, DO, FACOI, for President-Elect and C. Clark Milton, DO, FACOI, for Secretary-Treasurer. The Nominating Committee also approved Anya K. Cope, DO, FACOI, and Simona Eng, DO, FACOI, for election to the Board of Directors. Incumbents Laura M. Rosch, DO, FACOI, and David L. Tolentino, DO, FACOI, were nominated for another three-year term. Under the College’s Bylaws, this year’s President-Elect, Susan M. Enright, DO, FACOI, will be inaugurated as President for the 2024-2025 year at the conclusion of the elections.  

Susan M. Enright, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Enright is the Assistant Dean for Clerkship Education at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is Chair of the ACOI Council on Graduate Medical Education, which she has served on since 2006, and has served on the CME committee since 2015. Dr. Enright has been a member of the ACOI since 1998 and was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2016.


Damon L. Baker, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is Professor and Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University. He has served on the Council on Graduate Medical Education and several other committees. Dr. Baker has been a member of the ACOI since 1997 and was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2016.


C. Clark Milton, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is the Designated Institutional Official at Wheeling Hospital. He also serves as Director of Medical Education for Wheeling Hospital’s Osteopathic Internship and Residency Program. He has served on the CME Committee since 2015. Dr. Milton has been a member of the ACOI since 2005 and was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2018.  


Anya K. Cope, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs at Lincoln Memorial University – Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine.  She has served on the Committee on Ethnically and Racially Underrepresented Populations in Medicine since 2020. Dr. Cope has been a member of the ACOI since 2013 and became a fellow in 2018.  


Simona Eng, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is the Associate Vice President of Medical Education/Designated Institutional Official, Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency, and Executive Medical Director of Acute Care at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She currently serves on the Osteopathic Medical Education Continuum Council. Dr. Eng has been a member of the ACOI since 2001 and became a fellow in 2005.


Laura M. Rosch, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is the Campus Dean of the RVU College of Osteopathic Medicine in Utah. Dr. Rosch is the Program Chair for the ACOI 2024 Annual Convention & Scientific Sessions and serves on the CME Committee. She has served on several other ACOI Committees in the past. Dr. Rosch has been a member of the ACOI since 1997 and was first elected to the board in 2018.


David L. Tolentino, DO, FACOI, is board certified in internal medicine and is the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently a member of the ACOI Physician Wellness Committee and Government Affairs Committee. Dr. Tolentino has been an active member of the ACOI since 2005 and was first elected to the board in 2021.
