Damon Baker DO, FACOI, has been selected to represent ACOI on the ACP Council of Subspecialty Societies. The Council is responsible for creating close working relationships among the different subspecialty groups that make up ACP, as well as for advancing policy proposals, generating ideas that enhance Internal Medicine as a whole, and serving as a forum for healthy discussion of education, science, medicine, and other issues. Members of the ACP Council serve three-year terms. Congratulations to Dr. Baker on this honor!

David Beckrow, DO, FACOI, co-hosts the Trillium Institute’s “Palliative Matters” podcast with Dr. John Mulder, the Trillium Institute’s Executive Director. The most recent episode, “Palliating Uncertainty,” was released on November 4, 2024. Congratulations to Dr. Beckrow on spearheading this exciting project!

Cindy Hou DO, MBA, FACOI, was selected to speak at the First National Nursing Symposium on Antibiotic Resistance and Stewardship. The symposium seeks to provide “context and clarity to help guide frontline nurses to participate in and lead antibiotic stewardship nursing practice.” Dr. Hou spoke on Sepsis and Antibiotic Stewardship. Congratulations to Dr. Hou!

Howard Feinberg, DO, MACOI, was appointed to serve as Associate Dean for Clinical Medicine at the proposed Niazee College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Feinberg currently serves at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine – Middletown as Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education and Program Professor. Congratulations to Dr. Feinberg on this appointment!

Ray Page DO, PhD, FACOI, FASCO, was recently reelected as Treasurer of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology (TxSCO). A past President of this Society’s Board of Directors, he has served as TxSCO’s Treasurer for several years as well as on its Legislative, Education, and Membership Committees. Congratulations to Dr. Page!

Zachary West DO, FACOI, was featured in the Ohio-based Advertiser-Tribune for speaking at ACOI 2024. The article, published on November 16, 2024, detailed his lecture on osteopathic manipulative medicine. Congratulations to Dr. West on this recognition! 

John Dahdah, DO, Jonathan Reves, DO, FACOI, and Michael Foti, DO, were recognized as 2024 State Emerging Leaders by the American Osteopathic Foundation for Florida, Mississippi, and New York respectively. The program recognizes emerging physician leaders who are examples of excellence in their community. Congratulations Drs. Dahdah, Reves, and Foti!
