The ACOI e-newsletter, ACOInfo, is a monthly email news blast that covers osteopathic Internal Medicine with in-depth member interviews, opportunities to earn CME, news from the community, and more. Issues are distributed to over 15,000 subscribers, including ACOI members. Regular sections include the President’s Letter, Special Features, Advocacy/Practice Management, Committee Updates, Education, and Member News.

ACOI accepts submissions for the following e-newsletter content categories from all members, committee leads, and board members:

• Member News  
  • Student and Resident News  
  • Member Spotlights
• Committee Updates

Submissions must:  

• Be aligned with the topic in question, and offer value in the form of information, best practices, tips, analysis, or resources  
• Cite sources and provide references to quotations and facts when used
• If focused on a more complex topic, include additional resources or offer a contact for more information at the end

Suggested word count:

• 500 to 1,200 words for shorter features on specific quality topics, how-to listicles, practical advice, book reviews, and case studies
• 1,500 to 2,500 words for long-form features and case studies supplemented with real-world experience, analysis or research 

Accepted submissions are subject to revisions by ACOI staff.

• Your name  
• Brief bio/credentials and a headshot
• Subject and title of submission
• Brief summary of piece  
• The article attached as a .doc file
• If necessary to the article, any relevant figures, pictures, or images (optional)
