Thankful.
That is the feeling as I reflect on the ACOI 2024 Annual Convention & Scientific Sessions held in Arizona this past month. I am in awe of those that worked so hard to make the Annual Convention a success.
I have had the pleasure and honor of being the ACOI President from 2023-2024. I am proud to report that working with the ACOI Board of Directors, the ACOI leadership team, and the ACOI Committees, it has been a successful year.
November Student of the Month: Shelby Cornelius, OMS-IV
Shelby is an extraordinarily talented individual with a high intellect and a genuine curiosity that fuels her drive to learn. During her third-year internal medicine inpatient rotation, Shelby was operating at the level of a fourth-year medical student. She gave polished and thorough presentations that included synthesis of complex patients and prioritized differential diagnoses.
Thanks to a rich array of interactive learning sessions, thought-provoking keynote presentations and panel discussions, along with a host of networking events, attendees made invaluable connections, created beautiful new memories, and expanded their knowledge and skills. With over 50 sessions, expert speakers, and over 1600 attendees, ACOI 2024 was a truly special Annual Convention.
