ACOI is delighted to announce the induction of 38 new Fellows of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, as well as eight new members of the Gillum Society of Master Fellows. During the ACOI 2024 Convocation and Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 1, ACOI president-elect Dr. Enright, and chair of Honors & Awards Committee, Dr. Hubbard led ACOI in recognizing this class of accomplished individuals.
Congratulations to the ACOI 2024 Student and Resident/Fellow Poster Contest Finalists
The American College of Osteopathic Internists (ACOI) is proud to recognize the outstanding 2024 poster contest finalists. The finalists were awarded at ACOI 2024, held October 30 to November 2 in Scottsdale, Arizona. 151 posters were presented by 131 students, residents, and fellows. The ACOI poster contest is one of the largest in the osteopathic profession.

ACOI Congratulates Jennie H. Kwon, DO, MSCI on PACCARB Appointment
ACOI was honored to help support Dr. Kwon’s nomination to PACCARB.
“Dr. Kwon has an impressive track record of antimicrobial resistance research (AMR),” said ACOI President Robert T. Hasty, DO, FACOI, FACP. “PACCARB is fortunate to have the value of her expertise, including her work on strategies to prevent transmission of AMR.”
New President Named for the American College of Osteopathic Internists
ACOI announced the appointment of Robert T. Hasty, DO, FACOI, FACP, as President for 2023-2024 during the ACOI 2023 Annual Convention & Scientific Sessions in Tampa, Florida last week.
Dr. Hasty, who has served on the ACOI Board of Directors since 2015 enters the presidency with clear objectives in mind. “My goals are to grow ACOI’s advocacy efforts, while also continuing to advance our world class education that we know many osteopathic internists count on. Plus, we’ll focus on further increasing leadership and community opportunities for our internists.”
Student Leaders of Osteopathic Internal Medicine Association (SOIMA) Chosen in First Nationwide Election
ACOI announces the results of the first national election of officers for the Student Osteopathic Internal Medicine Association (SOIMA). From colleges of osteopathic medicine (COMs) spanning from Arizona to Virgina, students were chosen in the October 2022 elections to serve in the Association’s leadership roles.
