Dr. Laura Rosch: Pursuing Osteopathic Internal Medicine as a Pathway to Lead, Transform, and Heal Patients

Laura Rosch, DO, CS, MS, FACOI, entered osteopathic internal medicine to help save the lives of people like her grandfather, who died of heart disease when she was 14. “What drew me into medicine is that I loved science,” Dr. Rosch said. “I love studying the body. I love understanding physiology. Like a lot of things, you might have health problems of your own [or] you want to figure out a solution for someone in your family who has heart disease, which was the case for me." You want to be able to solve it “but more importantly, prevent it.”

Student Doctor Cannon was nominated for her exceptional dedication, passion, and contributions to her academic community. Her commitment to academic excellence is unwavering, consistently demonstrating a deep understanding of osteopathic principles and their application in clinical practice.

Steven Lome, DO, entered the cardiology field because it’s where he believed he could make the biggest impact in saving lives and improving the health of patients.

Student Doctor Dayal always presents himself with a smile and has established himself as a warm, welcoming figure amongst the students at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition to being a great friend, he manages to balance the strenuous aspects of medical school in a manner that encourages us all as he repeatedly emphasizes his desire for all his friends to succeed together.

Dr. Dominic F. Glorioso Is on a Mission to Educate about Ethically Driven Palliative Care

Within classrooms, lecture halls, community gathering spaces, and in many a ballroom where ACOI Conventions have been held, Dominic F. Glorioso, Jr., DO, FACOI, has been an ever-present fixture. Covering topics that span a full range of osteopathic internal medicine subjects over the last 40 years, he has educated thousands of physicians, residents, students, nurses, social workers, and many others from all walks of life.

Dr. Joseph Salhab is Helping Millions Embrace Gut Health Education through Social Media

Just over two years ago Joseph Salhab, DO, noticed an uptick of people on various social media channels looking for gut health advice. He became concerned by the inaccurate information being posted as responses to questions, mainly because physicians weren’t part of the conversations.
